Methodology

Federal facts come from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Internal Revenue Service, the Administration for Children and Families, the HHS Office of Inspector General, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Federal Register and CareerOneStop. We do not publish state-specific caregiver requirements, pay rates or wage figures, because they differ by state and change; each page points you to your state agencies instead. This site does not cover caregiver training or written policies.

Every checklist item names its source or is marked as your own planning. The tools show counts, not scores, and the interview guide does not rate candidates.

Our conflict of interest

Home Care Agency Blueprint sells courses and coaching to people starting home care agencies. That gives it a reason to encourage you to start or grow an agency. We try to counter that by sticking to cited sources and by keeping sales copy off the guide pages. Each page links to our booking page in the header, in one booking section at the bottom, and in the footer.

Privacy

There are no sign-up or contact forms on this site. The checklist and interview guide save entries only in your own browser. There are no embedded videos on this site. See the privacy policy and terms on the Home Care Agency Blueprint site.
